For precise control of heating and cooling in a four pipe system, you use our Optibal W6 six-way ball valve. Until now, conventional installations of such a system with heating/cooling ceilings or fan coils required many individual control components for switching between heating and cooling and for room temperature control.
 
The Optibal W6 six-way ball valve takes over control via a new modular fitting and with a separate characteristic line for heating and cooling. It consists of two three-way ball valves that are connected to each other via a common rotary axis. The Optibal W6 takes over the tasks of up to four straight valves. Thanks to its compact, well thought-out design, you can considerably reduce not only the space required but also the material and installations costs. The problem solver also convinces in design and was awarded the German Design Award Special 2019.

The AQ valve has a pressure independent control function. Automatic hydronic balancing takes place for each position of the six-way ball valve. The volume flow is thus kept constant regardless of pressure fluctuations. The presetting of the AQ valves limits the volume flow to a maximum value. The kvs orifices are not required.

For larger volume flows, Cocon QTZ pressure independent control valves can be used. The Cocon QTZ is installed in the return of the consumer. The room temperature is controlled via the actuator and the Cocon QTZ. The Optibal W6 works as change-over valve. The kvs orifices are not required.
